If you haven't visited my site before this latest re-write, up-date and re-jigging... you won't have read how much I dislike the majority of 'estate agents' working in the Almeria property market of Southern Spain, I promise... I'M NOT ONE OF THOSE!!! I am a fully legal, registered estate agent and only sell fully legal houses where the paperwork has been checked; we cover your legal fees and charge a tiny, miniscule commission! We are famous for our honest, no nonsense descriptions... we will tell you the best and worst about a property which saves your search time for the ones you're really interested in to buy the right Almeria property!!
I became an estate agent quite by accident... trying to help sell the 'Cortijo' (old Spanish farm-house) of the nephew of my Spanish mentor - Inocencio - a sprightly but wizened 'camposino' looking like a cross between Gandalf and Yoda (and just as wise in local knowledge and country lore), respected by all in the area for his fairness, wisdom, capacity for local wine and the fact that he once had seven girl-friends! He is now my longest serving Almeria property scout covering the Rambla de Oria, Oria town, Chirivel, Partaloa and Fines areas where he manages to find me lovely old Spanish farmhouses, town houses, village houses and country properties via his network of old cronies (and his capacity for wine!), some are livable, some need renovation and some are ruins (I'm not sure whether I'm talking about the properties or his cronies?!), but all are well priced and can only be found on this site!

Another of my special Almeria property scouts covering Albox, Arboleas, Limaria and Cantoria is Ricardo, the retired head of maths & sciences at one of the local schools in Albox and general font of all knowledge; he still manages to embarrass me when he runs ahead up some hill to see some old Spanish farmhouse or crumbly ruin with an amazing view whilst I lie coughing and wheezing half way up! He invariably taught either the owner or their children, so every casa, cortijo, finca and town house of his comes with its own little potted history about previous tenants and their way of life.
The cheaper area on my patch is around Chirivel and Cerricos, scouted by local girl,'Super-Anna', where you can still pick up a bargain country cottage (in ruins!), with land for as little as €11,900 - or an old Spanish farmhouse with land from around €60,000!!! Anna is also happy to iron-out any paperwork or building problems in her area to legally turn your ruins into a fully legal Almeria property and obtain legal water and electricity connections if necessary; also to check the legality of new builds and re-sales - as we are able to do in all our areas through other technicians, architects, lawyers and general good contacts!

New Builds and re-sales... Hmmm..!!! not the closest thing to our hearts... but many people want them(!?!) Most of the local developers pop in to see if we'll sell their villas and houses - we send them packing if the paperwork isn't all there but still end up with many desirable new legal houses on small estates and also legal villas with larger plots, set alone. Re-sales are sometimes a better deal as all the teething problems of a new house have been ironed out and many (some essential) extras (air-con, water tanks, furniture, garages and even the car in some cases!) are often included; but we treat them along the same lines - No legal papers... No sale!
I started my career in 'Bar Toni' (the best bar in Albox), proud to have been a 'café bar estate agent' - working only with my excellent website provided by Dezert Dezine and a mobile phone (fully legal - even if everybody's idea of a nightmare estate agent!); demand for my cheap prices and honest approach means we now operate from the most hi-tech, air-conditioned, best equipped, luxury new office in Albox... next-door to a bar!!! (Sometimes the Gods smile...!). I am ably abetted by my beautiful and ever patient organiser/partner, Kath; Brekky, a like minded nutter, with a weird sense of humour and a penchant for old Spanish property... and the accomplished Christine, our latest addition with a huge local knowledge; the token blonde employed under the equal hair-colour opportunities scheme! (Sorry Chris, you know I don't mean it!)
So if you'd like your forthcoming Almeria property adventure to be a pleasant, pleasurable, humorous and safe experience, give me or one of my colleagues a call, email or pop in if you're in the area... we make a great coffee! Good Luck with your search...
